Tim Davis is a Christian sexual addictions counselor

Timothy Davis (M.Div. and M.A.) is the Founder and Director of Pureheart Ministries. An MK (missionary kid) who grew up Honduras, Timothy graduated from Wheaton College in 1988 and received his Master of Divinity from Denver Seminary in 1994. He then worked as an associate pastor/pastor for 10 years. He received his Masters of Arts in Counseling from Western Seminary in 2005 and then launched Pureheart in 2007.

Timothy has personally counseled (individually and group) literally hundreds of drug addicts, alcoholics, and sex addicts, and in the last 2 decades has led approximately 300 men into consistent purity and serious spiritual maturity. Timothy has personally helped save over 150 marriages from divorce (with lots of help from Jena and Patricia, Pureheart’s lady counselors).

Intense, blunt, and motivational, Timothy specializes in pastoral counseling and spiritual mentoring for men struggling with sexual addictions, childhood abuse, depression, and PTSD.

Jena Abaria counsels women struggling with sexual addiction and wives of those in counseling with Pureheart Ministries

Jena obtained her MA in Counseling from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon in 2014. She grew up in Southern California and relocated to the Pacific Northwest as a young adult in search of rainy weather and green landscapes. Jena lives in Oregon with her husband and family, and enjoys escaping to the coast, hiking in the Gorge and eating good food with friends.

Jena specializes in offering pastoral counsel and spiritual direction for women struggling with sexual addiction, sexual betrayal and abuse, anxiety, and identity problems. She firmly believes that God can redeem any life no matter the hurt and destruction and strives to bring this into the counseling relationship through her nurturing (though direct and assertive) style.

JENA ABARIA

Dan Ebbens is a  porn addiction counselor

Dan Ebbens, (M. Div.) is currently leading online groups for Pureheart. Dan graduated from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity degree with a burden to preach and teach in a more rural setting. He went on to minister in a rural setting for fifteen years as a pastor with an emphasis on meeting people where they were in a pastoral counseling environment.

Dan has had a variety of different experiences which has informed his ministry over the years including living in Africa on the mission field, working as a certified firefighter, a licensed fire chaplain, and serving on various ministry boards throughout his area. Dan knows firsthand the difficult battle for freedom in purity and feels called to walk with other men wanting to fight that battle. He believes with all his heart that he whom the Son sets free, will be free indeed (John 8:36).

Patricia Whalen is a Christian counselor

Patricia Whalen obtained her BA in Christian Counseling from Liberty University and her MA in Professional Counseling also from Liberty University and is a Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). Patricia has completed her certification in Christian Sex Therapy.

Please note that for the purposes of online counseling Patricia only counsels counselees as a Pastoral Counselor. Patricia specializes in: Female Sexual Addiction, Christian Sex Therapy, Couples Counseling, Infidelity, Childhood Sexual Abuse, Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), Domestic Violence, and Trauma. She is also bi-lingual (English/Spanish) and understands the difficulties that other cultures face trying to fit into the American way of life. She offers a free 20 minute phone consultation for those interested in counseling with her.
