This group of blog posts comes from the first book in the Basic Training! series: Stage 1: Operation Purity. This is where the Pureheart process begins — the foundational training every man and woman needs before moving deeper into recovery.
Stage 1 lays out your Mission Possible: the truth that every believer has a specific Promised Land God has called them to take, and that the journey there runs directly through the wilderness of testing. From there, Stage 1 goes on the offensive against the specific giants standing between you and your destiny. You’ll learn to destroy denial — the self-deception that keeps every addiction alive and hidden, even from yourself. You’ll discover why accountability isn’t optional, but one of the most neglected disciplines in Christian life. And you’ll learn to recognize and break the acting-out cycle, understanding whether you’re a Medicator or a Compensator, and why your struggle may actually be one of God’s tests — preparing you for what’s ahead rather than disqualifying you from it.
